Become a Volunteer

The primary mission of the Calgary Contemporary Arts Society (CCAS) is to develop and operate the Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts - a public art gallery - based on the belief that the visual arts are an integral part of life in a community.

The mandate of the Society is:

  • to provide quality visual arts exhibitions to the public in an accessible and welcoming gallery environment
  • to be an integral component of Calgary's visual arts and cultural scene and to build the audience for visual arts
  • to actively initiate and welcome collaborations and partnerships with artists, other arts and community organizations and cross-disciplinary ventures
  • to continue to promote professional artists from Calgary and other centres in Alberta on the national and international scene through exhibitions, publications and other initiatives
  • to work with professional arts organizations regionally and nationally to bring the artistic and cultural resources from other communities to the city
