March 19 – April 29, 2010
At the Crossroads:  Helen Stadelbauer and Wes Irwin - Curated by Mary-Beth Laviolette, art historian, independent curator and author of numerous publications on Alberta contemporary art, this survey/documentary traces the artistic and academic careers of Calgary artists Helen Stadelbauer (1910-2006) and Wes Irwin (1897-1976).Stadelbauer and Irwin have been credited by art historians as two of the earliest pioneers of Modernism in Calgary and Alberta art and major proponents of avant-garde movements in visual arts.

2010 Artist Home + Studio Tour – this annual fundraiser offers Calgarians a window into the creative minds and styles of leading Calgary artists, architects, designers and art collectors. Each year, 5 or more local visual artists and designers open up their homes, studios and offices in this self-guided tour giving tour-goers the opportunity to discuss with the artists their inspirations as well as their process.  Proceeds support the Triangle Gallery’s exhibition and art education programs.

23rd Annual Exhibition of Children’s Art - The annual exhibition of children’s art showcases works by young artists (age 4-16), who were enrolled in the visual arts programs conducted by professional artists at the North Mount Pleasant and Wildflower Arts Centers. Curated by Cori Stent and Aubrey Hallis. (Duration: 10 days)

July 8 – August 25, 2010
Images of Land: Margaret Shelton and Clifford Robinson  - Curated by Anne Ewen, this major survey exhibition analyzes the artistic and academic careers of Calgary artists Margaret Shelton (1915-1984) and Clifford Robinson (1916-2006). Shelton and Robinson were part of the early group of Calgary artists in the 1930s and 1940s that initiated print activities in Calgary. The curator will trace the international influences of European 20th Century Modernism, and the impact their works had made on the younger generation of Alberta print artists.

September 9 – 21, 2010
Logotopia: The Library in Architecture, Art and the Imagination - a multi-disciplinary exhibition and publication project featuring original artworks, commissioned essays and stories, contemporary library architecture, library lore and ephemera, and pop culture icons. Several Canadian and international writers, visual artists and architects explore library as a concept and as a built form Curated by Sasha Hastings, former Curator of Architecture at the Cambridge Galleries – Design at Riverside in Cambridge, Ontario. Presented in conjunction with the 2010 Artcity Festival of Art, Design & Architecture.

October 7 – October 28, 2010
Santiago Calatrava: Bridges – Art Objects or Infrastructure  – This exhibition will trace Calatrava’s most prominent designs of bridges in Europe and North America, including Calgary’s Peace Bridge, and will debate the artistic merit rather than ‘purely’ infrastructural nature of bridge design. The presentation will coincide with the official opening of Calatrava’s Peace Bridge in Calgary scheduled in the fall of 2010. Coordinated by: Jacek Malec.

November 4 – November 6, 2010
2010 Studio Art Sale Fundraiser - This fundraiser offered affordable, small format works in a variety of media: painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, glass, ceramics, textile, mixed media compositions by Western Canada’s leading and emerging artists and designers.  That event also offered a much needed exposure to new and emerging artists by providing them with the opportunity to present their works to a much broader audience. 50% of the proceeds were designated to support Triangle Gallery’s art exhibitions and education programs.

November 18 – December 16, 2010
Inhabiting Spaces: Helena Hadala, Katie Ohe, Greg Payce, Laurel Smith  - Curated by Bozenna Wisniewska, this international art exhibition project showcases individual artistic responses to spatial concern and inhabiting/delineating space by these leading Calgary-based artists.  The Triangle Gallery will be a final destination for this exhibition after its European Tourneé in Gdansk, Poland; Porto, Portugal, and Porvoo in Finland.

January 7 – February 23, 2011
Quiet Mutinies: Art in Québec in the 1950s - A survey exhibition examining the development of Modernism and abstract art as well as a response of Québec artists to European (French Tachism and Art Informel) and North American (Abstract Expressionism; New York School) influences. This traveling exhibition is from Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec and will be presented in conjunction with “Québec Connections” – 7th Annual Winter Art Stroll. Coordinated by Jacek Malec.

5th Annual Art-O-Rama: Art Exhibition & Sale Fundraiser - This annual fundraiser offers affordable, small format works in a variety of media: painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, glass, ceramics, textile, mixed media compositions by Western Canada’s leading and emerging artists and designers. Exhibiting artists in the 2011 Artists Home + Studio Tour and artists from previous AHST’s will be featured. Proceeds from the sale will support the Triangle Gallery’s art exhibitions and education programs.

March 17 – April 27, 2011
Painting as Sculpture - Exhibition of Canadian contemporary artists, whose practice oscillates around a debate on interrelation between sculptural, three-dimensional object, collage and painting. Preliminary roster of artists include Mark Dicey, Bart Habermiller, Laurel Smith, Vera Gartley, Blake Senini, David Foxcroft, Ryan Sluggett, Ron Kostyniuk, Nicholas Roukes, Clay Ellis, Nicholas Wade and Ian Johnston. Curated by Christopher Willard, Head of Painting Department, ACAD.
