History

The Calgary Contemporary Arts Society is a non-for-profit, charitable organization incorporated in 1982 to advance the visual arts in the city, province, and region. The Society is directed by members of the artistic and business communities and oversees the administration of the Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts.

The Triangle Gallery of Visual Arts opened with its inaugural exhibition in September 1988. The Gallery is a public art institution dedicated to the presentation ( 8-10 exhibitions per annum) of contemporary Canadian visual arts, architecture and design in a context of international art.
